Desiree (Desi) Faraci has charmed art enthusiasts with her unique and expressive style of painting. The appreciation for art began in her hometown in upstate New York, as a child, and continues to grow. She considers her love to create a trait inherited from her father, Nicholas Faraci, who was an oil painter for over 25 years and now a photographer. Desiree herself has been a professional artist since 1989.
Desi was the owner of two art galleries and the founder of Dragonfly Productions International Inc., established in the year 2000, offering fine art sales and art consulting services to corporate and private clients in North Carolina. Later, she resided in Florida and took a needed break from the art industry to raise her two children.
Airbrushing was Desi's original medium by trade. Using acrylics brush overlaid with oil became her medium for over a decade. Now Desi has also discovered the art of watercolor painting. Many recent works are inspired by delicate Chinese and Japanese themes. Her main objective as an artist is to create a body of work that grabs the attention of the viewer and create an emotional response. Her passions include painting portraits, abstracts, animals and transitional landscapes.
Desi’s art and business has been published in international magazines such as Art Business News, Art World News, Décor Magazine and more. Her art and design has been collected by a wide variety of clients from biotech facilities, doctor's offices to private patrons.
There are many sides to Desi regarding her talents and work. She is currently the co- owner of Mandala Market which is a catering business. This year Desi became a real estate agent with First Colorado Land Office in Salida, CO. Her new endeavor is, Dream Press, LLC, which publishes real estate magazines for the region including SLV Dream Homes.
