FRED TROMPLER ART
As a child growing up in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Fred became interested in art in school and began private lessons. He studied painting and composition, form and design, and commercial art as part of his high school curriculum.
For the last 20 years, Fred’s passion has focused on landscape, wildlife, and portraits using both oil and acrylics. He has attended workshops around the country, held by a variety of nationally known wildlife, plein air, and landscape artists and mentors.
Fred’s art is displayed in galleries online and has earned awards in juried shows in Oklahoma and Colorado. His awards include:
• Grand Award at the Trail of Tears Art Show
• Honorable Mention at the Trail of Tears Art Show
• Oklahoma Artists Guild Third Place at the Omniplex in Oklahoma City
• Third Place Award at Plein Air Estes Park, Colorado
• Northwest Colorado Artist’s Association Gallery Award Fort Collins
Fred moved to Crestone two years ago. He is inspired by the natural beauty and wildlife that he finds here and by a community that appreciates art. His most recent paintings reflect the wildlife and landscape in and around Crestone. Fred can walk out in his back yard and find 100 things to paint.
