The word "Kutuhala" is Sanskrit for "that which excites wonder and being led by our hearts".  This seems to express, in its simplicity, what I feel when I create from this loving Presence and flow.

My journey with the act of painting has been about the bridging of spirituality with the power, passion and playfulness of color.  I have apprenticed with a Hungarian visionary painter, Marika Popovits and learned the "Old Masters" technique of making my own paint with the alchemy of powdered pigment, egg yolk and natural varnishes.  This process has opened many doors and allowed me to create luminosity and depth as well as the richness of transparent color.  My inspiration comes from an interior silence that flows and all wonders of magic, the mystical and angelic harmonize to create a painting from this awareness...each brushstroke is left and placed as a conversation to be respected and honored, as the painting informs the painter.
